UAE: Over 1,200 new paid parking spaces launched in Ajman
Fridays and public holidays remain free for drivers
DUBAI: Drivers in Ajman have 1,263 new paid parking options as of Saturday, June 21, 2025.
The Ajman Municipality announced the rollout across four major streets in the city via its official X account, aiming to streamline traffic and improve accessibility.
The new parking zones include Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Street (near Garden City Towers), Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi Street (near Ajman Pearl Towers), Al Baraa bin Malik Street, and Osama bin Zaid Street. These additions reflect the municipality’s strategy to regulate parking demand and ensure smoother vehicle movement in high-traffic areas.

Timings and exceptions
Paid parking hours in Ajman run from Saturday to Thursday: 8am to 1pm, and again from 5pm to 10pm. Parking remains free on Fridays and public holidays. Some areas, particularly near public parks, continue to offer free parking from 4pm to 1am every day.
Paid parking in UAE
Earlier this year, Sharjah introduced paid parking in Al Dhaid City, while Dubai maintains a zone-based paid parking system with premium spots priced at Dh6 per hour during peak times. However, parking exemptions still apply across most cities on weekends and national holidays.
